It's encouraging to see how even after just one week of exercising, even for only five minutes, every day is making a difference. Today I managed to complete the leg strengthening exercises, which was an impossibility last week. Although I discovered afterwards that my legs appeared to be like cooked spaghetti for the rest of the morning.
Ah well. A bowl of porridge and a strong coffee helped.
Looking out of the window at my little witch hazel tree I wondered if my eyes were playing tricks... I can't get any closer without removing my oxygen cannula or switching to an oxygen cylinder. Being stubborn and impatient I removed my oxygen cannula... that gives me a couple of minutes... not enough for a proper picture!
so I asked BB to nip out at take some photographs; there, on the little twig, bottom left, can you see? A LEAF!

I've been trying to exercise too and its hard! But like you I'm gaining!
ReplyDeleteIt helps that my programme is only five minutes a day.
DeleteAmazing little witch hazel!! I hope you don't get a hard frost that might damage it.
ReplyDeleteSo do I, it's come out far to early to be braving the weather
DeleteMy magnolia and acer have buds on, it happens most years until another cold spell arrives.
ReplyDeleteWe had three huge mature magnolia trees at the front of the offices where I once worked. So very, very beautiful, but for such a short time as rain or frost would kill the flowers.
DeleteI've decided against another tree at the moment. But if I get a new one for the garden later on, I shall start my year of photos then

DeleteWell done with your exercises, I know what you mean by spaghetti legs. When I first had the spinal infarction I could not walk at all but thanks to the physiotherapists and lots of hard work I got back to walking but along the way lots of spaghetti legs. Oh that little leaf burgeoning forth I hope you don't get too many frosts. Regards Sue H
