Just one clock (that I know of) left to change... it's on a high shelf so I'll get BB to reach it down.
I woke up at 5am according to the clock by my bed which had altered itself already. Of course that was 6am if the clocks hadn't changed, so not that unreasonable really. I managed to roll over and go back to sleep for a couple of hours.
When I woke again, it was bright and sunny, clear blue skies. Such a contrast to the last couple of mornings. It's funny how the old hymns from childhood church going and old-fashioned school assemblies stick; this is what came into my mind;
We never sang songs like 'When a knight won his spurs' or 'Kum by ah' or 'One more step along the road I go' or 'He's got the whole world in his hands'. Nope. We stuck to The English Hymnal or Hymns Ancient and Modern.
Anyway, while I standing looking out of the bedroom window. humming the tune and trying to remember the words, a blue tit came tapping at the corner of the windowsill, presumably hunting for spiders and insects.
What a great start to the day. I hope your days all go well this week.
It will be ages before we change the clock in our car, we don't use the car much.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if it changes itself on ours.
DeleteOur car's clock stayed on summer time year round. We got used to subtracting an hour. Changing the clock forward was fine, but going backward was such a faff, I figured it wasn't worth the effort. ~skye
ReplyDeleteMuch easier!
DeleteI have always had trouble with the "Spring forward, Fall back"
ReplyDeleteI'm so relieved that this was the last clock change we will ever have to do.
Lucky you!
DeleteI like my phone and lap top clocks changing all by themselves. Car has a button saying 'clock' so that's easy and cooker is the same. my annoying one is the 40 year old electric bedroom clock that isn't a 24 hour one and has fast and slow buttons that only go forward so to go back an hour have to go forward 23 hours and the buttons sometime jump meaning starting all over again!
ReplyDeleteNonononono!
DeleteI thought I had done all the clocks, then looked at my watch half way through church ...ooops!
ReplyDeleteThere's always another clock somewhere. Five minutes ago I looked at the handset on the landlines phone...
