Today began too early... I don't mind waking early but 4am? I should have listened to an audiobook or something and I would have gone back to sleep. But that would have meant waking up enough to get the book started! So I dozed instead.
I've done some cover story collaboration stitching, and added to my sock, and that's about that.
Music
Who remembers watching this programme on television? If they repeated it I would happily watch it all over again.
Harry Dodson was lovely. I used to have one of the books...
ReplyDeleteI can barely remember the program, only that it was so gentle and beautiful.
DeleteOne of the loveliest programmes that I can remember. Why dont we have more?
ReplyDeleteOh yes please!
DeleteI don't think I ever saw the series. I do like the paintings.
ReplyDeleteThe paintings are very romantic
DeleteIt was a lovely gentle programme. Harry Dodson reminded me of my lovely Granddad who was patient and kind, a country man of the old school, spending his whole life working on the land apart from when he went away to WW1 as a soldier, which thankfully he survived. The music is dreamy too. Regards Sue H
ReplyDeletewe need programmes like this on television! Quiet, non-shouty, slow, no whipping up of excitement and drama... as a contrast to the more action-packed programmes (which I do also enjoy!)
DeleteBeautiful music and of course, lovely paintings by Helen Allingham>đź’—
ReplyDeleteThe programmes were lovely too.
