Tax returns filled me with dread. I did a lot of freelance work when our sons were young but my Husband had his own business and had an accountant so he kindly used to do my tax return. Then my husband sold his business and got a PAYE job so I had to do my own tax return, it always terrified me yet it was always in so silly to get in a sweat. Thank goodness I no longer have to worry. Regards Sue H

ReplyDeleteI felr a slight 'frisson' of fear when I realised I hadn't included my state pension... luckily not too late to go back and correct the mistake 🙂
DeleteTax returns hang over our heads like the sword of Damocles. I think it's the fear of making a mistake and then being fined by HMRC.
ReplyDeleteTotally that... signing the declaration at the end always feels like confessing to embezzlement.
