I love sending and receiving flowers. Quite often I have sent flower cards;
The come from this nursery in Guernsey and I've been using them for many, many years, back in the days when it was a family-run business called st Saviour's Nursery. I think I must have cut the details out of a magazine.
The flower cards are so unusual, and so pretty, and always arrive in lovely condition. I sent one to a neighbour recently. It's not often I advertise a specific product or service, but this is special.
I'm sitting looking at a bunch of flowers a friend brought round a couple of evenings ago. She stood there, in the dark and the rain, holding out these glorious and glowing gerberas...
They are lasting well so far.

Gerbera have such lovely jewel colours. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThey light up the room
DeleteBeautiful colours!
ReplyDeleteAren't they, and so harmonious
DeleteThank you for the recommendation. It's good to have a recommended florist. I use Bloom & Wild quite often, but it's nice to support other retailers too.
ReplyDeleteI used blooming and wild too, I love the miniature Christmas trees.
DeleteFlower cards are so pretty. I love sending flowers.
ReplyDeleteThese are always lovely.
DeleteI love fresh flowers in the house. Currently it's my orchid, now that the garden flowers are over. The gerberas are lovely. I really like all the daisy family.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if I like orchids. One friend (so I'm told) categorises all plants into 'triffid' and 'not triffid' and I haven't decided which category orchids are in. But daisies... a week ago I passed a whole load of ox-eye daisies growing by the verge of the road. In November!?!
DeleteFlowers are so much part of my life. And if there arent any in the garden it's amazing how pretty a bunch of greenery can look.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, just leaves, especially if they are scented, can be wonderful.
