I've been shying away from this item on the November scavenger hunt. But after the success of the cats yesterday I thought I'd see what happened if I tried drawing a child starting with the eyes - madness? Probably! The result was the girl at the top.
Next came a chil sitting down, now turned into a heap of something or other as it really didn't work, then the toddler with his blanket which is from a memory of when the twins opposite started learning to walk in a straight line along the pavement. That was such fun to watch; the parents running too and fro like sheepdogs herding the little ones as they staggered randomly up driveways and perilously close to the road. Luckily it's very quiet around here.
The 2By2 stitching is underway. I always feel so much happier once I've settled on a design and worked out how to do it. The prep is done and I can start sewing tomorrow.
It was a lovely day today, warm, even. I stirred myself up out of the settee and we went for a short walk, up to the duck pond. It was so good to be out in the fresh air and sunshine.

You are ahead of me with 2by2. I am currently swamped with an avalanche of BBQ Aprons
ReplyDeleteHigh speed apron sewing! Hope it all goes smoothly
DeleteI like the small person with their blanket - just a few lines and you have captured him/her beautifully
ReplyDeleteIt's my favourite too.
DeleteIt was lovely and sunny here yesterday too. Rain predicted today but still mild. I like the child with the blanket you have drawn, they look really happy. Regards Sue H
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to go out again later today- we shall see.... 🌧
DeleteThe eyes have it, to coin a phrase, in the girl drawing. The one I like best is of the kite - it has real movement in it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, your comments are very encouraging
