Here's Ang's November 2By2 stitching; I've taken a photo of what she sent with the patch;
It is lovely, and I think the morse code, which is commemorating her mother's wartime work at Bletchley Park, is a very clever and effective touch.
This is a short post. I'm feeling all in. For various reasons I've had a tiring Autumn, and for once I'm really looking forward to Winter now that the worst of various major (for me!) undertakings have been undertook, if you get my meaning.
Early night beckons... I'm off to make a cup of the 'night-time' blend herbal tea.
Cantabile sings Hushabye Mountain from 'Chitty chitty bang bang'

I hope you feel better soon.It's a difficult time to lack energy.
ReplyDeleteIt's astonishing what a good night's sleep, and the clearing of a very difficult situation can achieve! I feel a New Woman this morning!
DeleteHow lovely to be looking forward to winter. That's a state of mind I'm trying to cultivate.
ReplyDeleteI think winter has been a dark, cold, miserable time for so long; through winter terms at school (hockey, lacrosse, ugh) and then when I was working (living in unheated houses, up and off to work in the cold, the frantic and exhausting run up to Christmas) and finally struggling through one chesty infection after another. I've got a lot of unpicking to do to revise my mindset and find a new way of thinking! I'm determined to rethink this season.
ReplyDeleteVery clever, thoughtful stitching. A friend's parents met while working at Bletchley Park. He was a clever chap, like his parents.
ReplyDeleteBletchley Park is the most amazing place to visit. A real sense of the atmosphere of the times. The work done was so vital, so demanding.
DeleteOne of the original members of Cantabile was the organist at my wedding!
ReplyDeleteWell I never! They are a wonderful group; so musical, so skilled. I haven't listened to the new lineup which has a female singer.
DeleteLovely stitching
ReplyDeleteWinter has come here with a vengeance. Usually it waits until after the New Year but not this year!
You'll be having a White Christmas then! More often than not we get a wet one.
