It is a tradition in our family that we produce "wish lists".
Here's mine, in no particular order

*******************************************************
Knitting stitch markers with little clips, like these;
The clips mean that you can reposition them along the needle or in the knitted fabric, unlike the sort that are closed loops. Also, clip fasteners stop them from escaping.
I tend to use both thin needles (up to 5mm) and thick ones (6-10 mm) depending on the thickness of the yarn.
Charms with too many sticky outy bits might get snagged. Simpler shapes are better. (These are from woolwarehouse; they call this type 'crochet' stitch markers for some reason)
*******************************************************
Book: Ted Hughes - 'By Heart' 101 poems to learn by heart (and how to learn them)
*******************************************************
Corinne Lapierre Advent Calendar kit
*******************************************************
*******************************************************
Book: La Vie by John Lewis-Stempel
*******************************************************
Book: Bring No Clothes' by Charlie Porter

We have wish lists as the gift is sure to be wanted, and saves the stress of wondering what to buy
ReplyDeleteI love books but tell my family if they can buy me a used copy of whatever I request I will be very pleased. Isabel
I love used copies- especially if they have inscriptions. Food for thought...
