Hello November! Season of mists etc....
Or,
First of the month; time to do the end-of-October financial admin...
In order to get away from the temptations of the biscuit tin I settled at my worktable with laptop, mobile phone, heap of bills and statements, daybook and all important cup of tea.
The tea is a pre-reward, or maybe, sustenance for what is always a bit of a voyage. The daybook is a notebook for making notes of telephone calls, or things I am doing where I could do with having a record of the various steps and courses of action. A sort of tidier version of the notes-I-made-on-scraps-of-paper-subsequently-mislaid 'method' I used in the past.
So I paid bills, checked statements and did all that sort of stuff.
About those biscuits... I'm pretty impressed with myself as I haven't been into that tin all day! Yesterday we had cinnamon croissant swirls at elevenses and then a Marks and Spencer Chinese Feast box for lunch, so a bit of self-control and moderation is rather necessary today!
Having changed my phone, I spent ages trying to reconnect to Internet banking this week. I dislike this sort of admin intensely
ReplyDeleteIt's hideous having to remember the ID codes and passwords and procedures for so many things. Having all my father’s banking as well just just just ....... pour me another cup of coffee please
