Knitty-Gritty - 3rd December 2022

This might become a new category of post to this blog; 

anyway, from here and there and reading and dipping in and out of blogs and videos, I discovered the Knitting Guru Duo, Arne and Carlos.

I discovered them back in the time of lockdown, when they were doing a 'knit-a-long' patch a week for a blanket. I didn't do more than a couple of weeks, and gave up on them and used the wool for something else. But I am interested in getting to grips with their technique for

Norwegian Knit stitches

and even more useful to me, Norwegian Purl Stitches

I taught myself to knit 'continental style' some years ago, but still found that purl knitting was awkward and uncomfortable. This Norwegian method - doing the cha-cha-cha- - is a game-changer. It took a bit of perseverance, but I think I've got the hang of it now.
