Blog posts with this title concern my mother's current situation. Family and friends will know more of the background and context, and this is primarily for them.

I wasn't at all surprised to hear that my mother had spent the day in bed after the excitement of yesterday afternoon. A day in bed is now the new "normal", and a few hours up and about in her electric wheelchair is special.

So, when my father and some friends went this afternoon, they had some pleasant conversation and a gentle time together. A "normal" visit.
